Abandoned checkout report
Customers that abandon their checkout, or fail to complete all required steps in time, will appear in your Abandoned checkout report
To locate the report, navigate to Sales admin > Abandoned checkout. It details the product they added to their basket, the account owner and beneficiary names, phone number, when the abandon occurred, and the cost.
There are two types of abandoned checkout, detailed in the ‘Event’ column
- Abandoned at checkout – the user abandoned the checkout process before reaching the payment section
- Abandoned payment – the user completed most of the checkout process but abandoned at the payment section
Prompting contacts to complete the checkout
The abandoned checkout report allows you to re-invite your customers to the products they abandoned. Doing this will send an email to the person with a link back to the same product in the shop, and will remove that entry from the report.
Note: All completed registration information will be stored. Therefore, your customer can fast-track to the section where the checkout was originally abandoned.
The ‘Prompt to complete checkout’ button is found within the ‘Actions’ column. You also have the option to send them a message or delete the entry (if they’re an existing contact, this won’t remove any of their data).
Important: Any entries in the abandoned checkout report will be wiped after 30 days.
