How can I automatically follow up after absences?

Easily chase and check in on absentees with the ‘Consecutive absences’ notification – here’s how to use it

Setting your absence threshold

Before setting up your notification, you’ll need to set how many sessions missed in a row should trigger it. To do this, head to Organisation setup > Settings, enter the number under ‘Notification settings’, and click ‘Save’.

How to enable the notification

  • Navigate to Communication > Notifications
  • Select the ‘Timetable’ Notification category
  • Enable ‘Consecutive absences’ using the toggle (ON = right, OFF = left)
  • Customise the following options:
    • Timing – when the notification should be sent. For example, 1 hour after the set number of sessions has been missed
    • Limit to – choose if you would like this notification to only apply to certain classes or events. Leave blank to apply to all
    • Recipients – select whether the notification should be sent to the account owner, specific staff members, or both
    • Delivery method - whether the notification should trigger just an email, or a timeline message (online portal/app notification) as well
