How do I manage the capacity levels of my sessions and events?
This article will explain the different ways to set capacity levels for your sessions and events, and how to adjust the capacity for specific dates
Adding capacity to a product:
- Navigate to Product management > Products
- Select the relevant class or event product from the left sidebar
- Open ‘Capacity’ to enter a minimum/maximum as required
Note: If you can't see the 'Capacity' tab when you click on the product, your system may be set up with the 'product-group-treated-as-product’ setting enabled.
In this case, the capacity will need to be applied against the product group (identified by the green folder icon).

When the capacity is set against the product (group), this will carry over into every schedule for the product.
Adding capacity to a schedule:
- Navigate to Product management > Schedules and click the schedule name to edit
- You can filter by product in the left sidebar
- Enter the maximum capacity towards the bottom of the schedule’s settings and click ‘Save’
Applying a maximum capacity directly against a schedule will override any capacity applied against the product.
Adjusting the capacity of a specific session
In some cases, you may want to change the capacity of a specific session, not the entire schedule.
- Navigate to the Timetable and click into the relevant session
- Click ‘Edit session’ in the top-right corner
- Enter a (new) maximum capacity and tick ‘Notify attendees about these changes’
- Click ‘Save changes’
