How do I remove people from products?

You may need to remove contacts from products if their availability changes or to prevent future billing, for example if they’ve booked the wrong class or ended a subscription

 

Note: You can remove contacts from products from many areas of the platform, including your reports, registers, their record, or the Contacts page. The options differ depending on the product type – further details can be found at the bottom of this article.

 

Steps – Contact record:

If you’re removing one contact from a product (or multiple products), the quickest way is via their contact record.

  • Search for the contact and click their name
  • At the bottom of the Dashboard, you’ll find ‘Active products’
  • Click the three dots next to the relevant product, then ‘Remove from product’
  • Choose your removal options then ‘Preview changes’
  • Once you’re happy with the changes, click ‘Process’ and you’re done!

 

Steps – Contacts page:

If you’re removing multiple contacts from the same product, the Contacts page is the quickest way.

  • Navigate to Contact management > Contacts
  • Select the relevant product in the left sidebar
  • Tick the checkbox next to the Contact(s) you wish to remove
  • In the left sidebar, click ‘Manage’ then ‘Remove from product’
  • Choose your removal options then ‘Preview changes’
  • Once you’re happy with the changes, click ‘Process’ and you’re done!

 

‘Remove from product’ additional options

Note: Items marked with an asterisk (*) will only appear for products with a schedule.

    • Schedule* - Choose which schedule to remove the contact from
    • From* - Choose specific days, dates and times to remove the contact from
      • All future sessions - Removes the contact from all scheduled future sessions
      • Specific sessions - Removes the contact from the selected sessions only
      • From (and including) a specific session - Removes the contact from a specific session, and all sessions in the schedule after that
    • Credit account - Choose your credit options
      • No credit required - No credit will be applied to the account
      • Credit according to product price and billing – Credit will be applied according to the product’s standard price rate
      • Credit fixed amount – Apply a custom amount of credit

 

      ‘Preview changes’

      Before the removal is processed, you can review the changes – this page will offer further options to consider or amend before proceeding.

      You can tick the checkbox next to the Contact’s name to edit the credit amount.

      Important: If you do wish for credit to be applied, you’ll need to select the box on the right-hand side before finalising.

        • Cancel order - If the contact has an upcoming scheduled order, you can choose to cancel the order before it is invoiced
        • Cancel invoice - if the contact has been invoiced and the payment is not yet pending or paid, you can choose to cancel the invoice here

      Important: If you see ‘Invoice is not outstanding’, it cannot be cancelled.
