How can I link customers to a product that is not visible on our shop?
This article will explain how to get customers to purchase or sign-up for a product that is not available in your shop
Note: This is different from private product access, where you can set a product up as private in your shop unless you have given a contact access to view it.
Every product available in the shop is assigned a unique link that can be shared, even if you decide not to display it within the shop itself.
How to directly link an individual product:
- Navigate to Product management > Products
- Ensure the product is set to ‘Public’ and ‘Visible’ under ‘Details’
- The product won’t show in the shop unless linked to a shop tile under ‘Booking site’ (towards the bottom of the settings)
- For merchandise, subscriptions, and money products, click ‘Shop’ at the top of the page and copy the URL
- For classes and events, click ‘Schedules’ at the top of the page, then the ‘View a sample in shop’ icon on the right-hand side of the schedule, then copy the URL
How to link to a hidden shop tile (containing multiple products):
- Navigate to Product management > Products
- Scroll down to ‘Booking site’ to create a shop tile for the products and assign them to it
- Make sure the tile is active
- Then navigate to Your shop > Shop link and open the shop tile you just created and copy the URL
- Make sure the shop tile is no longer active (and click ‘Save’)
This shop link will stay active and can be distributed to anyone you wish, without being visible in the shop, allowing you to link chosen contacts to multiple options.
