How do I collect payments for outstanding invoices?

Important: You can only collect payments when the contact has a valid, pre-authorised payment method available. You cannot use ‘Collect payment’ when all 3 automatic payment attempts have been processed and failed.

To identify contacts with an active payment method, use ‘Manage contacts’ to add ‘Has pre-authorisation’ and filter by ‘Yes’.

 

Steps:

  • Navigate to Sales admin > Invoices
    • Alternatively, head to a contact record and into the ‘Finance’ tab
  • Locate the relevant invoice
  • Select the invoice using the checkbox or click the three dots on the right-hand side
  • Click ‘Payment’ then ‘Collect payment’
  • Click ‘Confirm’ to finish

Note: When initiating payment collection for outstanding invoices, any terms of sale will be disregarded. This means that customer consents, required forms, or any related products that are usually required will not be taken into account during the payment collection process.
