How can I identify overdue invoices?

This article will explain how to identify overdue invoices and explore the options available for prompting your contacts to settle their outstanding debts

You have a variety of financial reports at your disposal to help you identify outstanding invoices. You can choose which report to use depending on the details you need and the actions you wish to take.

Here are some of the most commonly used reports:

Invoices page

This page gives you a clear view of all your invoices and their statuses, with multiple actions available such as raising a credit, manually collecting the payment, or cancelling the invoice entirely.

  • Navigate to Sales admin > Invoices
  • Click into the ‘Outstanding’ tab
  • Adjust the date range in the top-right corner as needed
    • Click the invoice number for more information about the product(s) the invoice is for
    • Select the invoice using the checkbox to carry out additional actions, such as cancelling the invoice or emailing the account owner

Aged receivables report

This report (Reporting > Financial reports > Aged receivables) provides a comprehensive view of all outstanding invoices, organised by the number of days they have remained unpaid. For more information, see our full guide to this report here.

Product Sales report

This report (Reporting > Financial reports > Product sales) details all sales sorted by product, with a wide range of financial data such as tax and transaction fees.

There are a multitude of options available to sort, filter, and display the data to your requirements. For more information, see our full guide on this report here.

Managing overdue invoices

Overdue payment notification

Set up this notification to automatically remind your contacts that they have an overdue invoice, and prompt them to log in to their Thrive4 member account to make the payment.

Emailing the account owner

From all the reports above, you can communicate with contacts directly to prompt them to log in to their Thrive4 account and complete the payment.

Collecting the payment directly

If the contact has a valid payment method, you can manually start the payment collection process on outstanding invoices yourself.
